The Egyptian
Armed Forces killed 18 militants. They conducted an anti-terrorist operation in
the northern part of the Sinai Peninsula.
The state news
agency MENA reported.
The operation
took place in the area of the village of Bir el-Abd, North Sinai province. The
spetsnaz were provided with air support.
“In cooperation
with the Air Force, it was possible to destroy terrorists in abandoned houses,
as a result of which 18 militants were eliminated, including one with a suicide
belt,” the message says.
