3 rockets fired from Syria toward Israel

The border between the Syrian and Israeli Golan Heights

May 15, 2021. Greece.

Two rockets fired from Syria landed in open terrain in Israel on Friday, causing no damage, while another fell within Syrian territory.

The launches came after Israeli security forces killed a member of the Hezbollah group -- an arch enemy of Israel based in Syria's neighbor Lebanon -- who tried to infiltrate into the Jewish state.

There was no immediate confirmation of a link between the events, which come amid the deadliest conflagration of the hostilities since 2014 between Israel and the Gaza Strip-based terrorists of Hamas, who fired upwards of 2,000 rockets at the Jewish state since Monday.
